The wind transmitter is equipped with a contact-free opto-electronic scanner, which causes an extremely low starting speed. At the output the measuring value is available as digital signal. The heating is electronically controlled. A plug-connection is situated in the shaft of the instrument. The instrument is mounted preferably onto a mast or traverse. All essential parts are made of anodised aluminium.
